The MSI Wind U110, or U110 Eco as it is also known by, is now shipping in the US for $399 with a 9-cell battery!
The MSI Wind U110 Eco netbook is very similar to the MSI Wind U115 (which has now been discontinued), but doesn’t feature the dual storage method that Microsoft didn’t like.
One of the more interesting aspects of the 10-inch MSI U110 Eco is it’s available battery options. It’s available with 3, 6, and 9-cell (7800mAh) battery options. While most netbooks offer either a 3 or 6 cell batteries, the U110 Eco’s 9-cell battery has the potential to last a very long time indeed. I don’t have any figures available, but I would guess the 9-cell battery could last way over 10 hours.
The 10-inch netbook features a 1024 x 600 pixel display, with an Intel Atom Z530 CPU, 1GB of RAM (2GB max), a 160GB hard drive, webcam, 4-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth in some models.
