MSI Wind U135MSI’s wind range of netbooks is joined by the latest model the U135. As with all the netbook announced this year MSI Wind U135 features the latest Intel Atom N450 processor which uses less power and boosts performance slightly.

The MSI U135 is available in two models, the first with a 160GB hard drive, and the second with a larger 250GB version.

This model goes head to head with Asus’ latest Eee PC the 1005PE, which also features the N450 CPU at a low price. The U135 undercuts the 1005PE slightly and starts at just $309 ($329 for the 250GB version), and comes with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 10-inch 1024 x 600 glossy LED back-lit display and Windows 7 Starter edition.

The cheaper version features a 3-cell battery, while the 250GB version has a 6-cell battery for 7.5 hours.

This latest member of the MSI Wind family is based on the success of it’s previous models, but features a slightly tweaked design and hardware tweaks. The MSI U135 now features an improved chiclet style keyboard with 20% larger keys which are firm to the touch. The touchpad has also been increased in size for easier use.

It will be available in a number of color options; Black, Silver, Ruby and Sapphire. Apparently the Wind U135 has a color film printed case which prevents smudging, and finger prints we assume (hope)!

Other features of the MSI Wind U135 include a 1.3MP webcam, VGA port, 3x USB 2.0, a 4-in-1 card reader and 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN.

Amazon have all four color models available from $309!
