A new thin and light notebook, the MSI Wind U250 has come to light thanks to information provided by the EnergyStar website.
Update: MSI have officially announced the Wind U250!
The yet unannounced low power MSI U250 is a 12-inch notebook powered by the new dual core AMD Neo processor (1.3Ghz Athlon II Neo K325).
We’re used to seeing netbooks leak through the FCC, but this is the first unannounced model I have seen come to light through EnergyStar.
The MSI Wind U250 looks set to have 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 512MB graphics (probably the ATI Radeon HD 3200 4225), and Windows 7.
As the source is EnergyStar there is also some interesting power information; it uses 10.6 watts in idle, and 30.7kwh per year on average.
Update: Three months later the MSI Wind U250 is now official, and this announcement comes with a number of press images. The design looks great, and similar to previous 12-inch Wind notebooks, although this new U250 has a textured look finish.
