The MSI Wind U123 is an updated version of their popular Wind U100 netbook. The main new feature of the older U100 is the new, faster Intel Atom N280 CPU running at 1.66GHz, and a larger capacity battery.
While the MSI Wind U123 essentially looks just like the U100, with the more power processor, and larger capacity battery it’s a much better performer. The new nine-cell battery provides more more 8 hours of battery life, making the U123 one of the best laptops for use on the go.

With it’s price of just $379 the MSI U123 is a great deal, providing more power and battery life than many more expensive models. Laptopmag reviewed the MSI Wind U123, giving it four out of five stars, liking the design, keyboard, price and impressive battery life. They said, the MSI Wind U123 offers good performance for a netbook and more than 8 hours of endurance. While the similarly configured ASUS 1000HE ($399) and Samsung N110 ($469) have more comfortable touchpads and slightly better keyboards, the MSI Wind offers a complete package for a very competitive price.
