Digittimes have published a report about upcoming new processors from Intel, where a number of new netbook destined Atom processors were mentioned.
Reports from Digitimes are normal accurate, but we don’t trust it 100%, maybe 95% though.
The new dual-core Intel Atom D510 CPU seems to be destined for nettops, and will launch in the fourth quarter. It will be followed by the new single-core Intel Atom D410 CPU in the first quarter 2010, which seems to be aimed at netbooks.
No speed information has been posted, but we would like to believe that they will either be faster, more energy efficient, or both!
Source state that in the fourth quarter the Atom D510 will ship about 2%, Atom 330 about 50% and the Atom 230 about 10% of total shipments.
This will increase to 25% for the Atom D510, 27% for the Atom 330, and 6% for both the Atom D410 and Atom 230 in first quarter 2010.
