Fujitsu might not currently be one of the major players in the netbook market today, but their latest Lifebook MH380 netbook is miles better than their previous offerings.
The Fujitsu Lifebook MH380 is their latest netbook offering, which features the new Intel Atom N450 processor and a 10-inch LCD. While this might sound all to standard at first, the Fujitsu MH380 has some extra offerings up it’s sleeve.
Firstly the 10.1-inch screen it features has a 1366 x 768 (HD) pixel resolution, offering up extra pixels and desktop space compared to the standard 1024 x 600 pixel resolution sported by most 10.1-inch netbooks. And secondly it has a unique circular scroll wheel to the right of the touchpad, which looks like a round dimple.
Specification wise the Fujitsu MH380 features the Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz CPU, a 250GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 6-cell 5800 mAh battery, and Windows 7 Starter Edition.
The MH380 also has a fairly unique design which makes it stand out from the rest of the netbooks on the market. Laptop Mag reviewed the MH380 and were mostly impressed with it. They very much liked the keyboard calling it one of the best yet, and found the scroll wheel to be useful, but found the touchpad to be a bit on the small side. Maybe Fujitsu thought the same, and moved the scroll function to it’s own area.
They were also very fond of the ultra bright HD display and loud speakers and it’s long battery life. The 6-cell battery managed to last just short of 7 hours (6 hrs 47 mins).
The only real concern about the Fujitsu MH380 was it’s slightly higher than normal price tag of $449. But as the MH380 is currently one of very few 10-inch netbooks with a HD display the extra cost is expected.
The Fujitsu Lifebook MH380 is currently available on Amazon for $449!
