Intel has just made their Intel Cedar Trail platform, the latest generation of Atom processor official.
This next generation of Intel Atom processor is again aimed at netbooks along with lower end desktops. The Cedar Trail Atom platform was recently announced at IDF Beijing during Intel presentation.
This presentation / demo shower off the new platforms features such as video and wireless music streaming, along with file sharing features.
Intel also showed off a prototype model, and said that we can expect to see Cedar Trail netbooks here by the end of 2011, just in time for the holiday sales. But we have seen a press release that say we should be seeing them in the seonc half of this year.
The Intel Cedar Trail makes use of 32nm manufacturing process, supports 1080p HD video playback, HDMI output, Blu-ray 2.0 playback, DisplayPort output, is fanless and boost battery life. The Cedar Trail Atom supports, Windows, Chrome OS, Android and MeeGo operating systems.
