Netbooks today are still running on the current Intel Atom CPU generation, and have yet to move on to the new Pine Trail platform and Pineview processors.
But even before netbooks have had time to use the new Pine Trail generation, details of the next generation of the 2011 Atom CPU have emerged.
The Cedar trail is the new Atom platform, with Cedarview being the new Atom CPU which should start shipping sometime in 2001. It is expected that the Pineview CPUs will ship early next year, and be around for about a year, until the new Cedarview takes over.

Intel Atom
Fudzilla have confirmed that the new CPU will be a 32nm CPU, with a new memory controller with support for DDR3 1066. The Cedar Trail chipset will also support DirectX 10.1 graphics and Full HD video content. HDMI, eDP, LVDS and DisplayPort are all supported, along with twin-display and Blu-ray support.
Full HD is not supported on the current, or Pineview generation, so if you want to watch HD movies etc, you will need a netbook with dedicated graphics, such as in the Nvidia Ion platform.
