While the netbook market has quickly become packed with Intel latest generation Atom processor, the N450, as seen by the vast number of netbooks sporting it in our netbook comparison page. The slightly faster N470 has yet to show it’s face in the mass market.
Intel already has plans to improve the N450 and N470 even more by adding DDR3 memory support. The new processors will be called the Intel Atom N455 and N475, bumping the numbers by 5.

Both of the new CPUs are expected to maintains their very low TDP and current speeds. The Intel N455 will run at 1.6GHz with a 5.5 TDP, while the N475 is faster at 1.83GHz with a 6.5 TDP.
Support for the faster DDR3 RAM will bring some speed improvements to the netbooks system. Both chips are expected to launch in the third quarter this year.
