Intel have revealed some of their future plans for the netbook and notebook market.

Firstly it seems that Intel is thinking about phasing out their new Atom N series CPU the N280, and GN40 chipset combination.leaving the Atom N270 processor with the 945GSE chipset as the current king of netbooks.

It comes of no surprise that pink netbooks are very popular with girls of all ages. Following the logic that girls love pink, and cute miniaturized things, the pink netbook seems like a great gift your your loved one or daughter.

The Averatec N2700 is on the upper-end limit of the netbook market at 12-inches. The new Averatec ultraportable packs plenty of power, featuring the Intel 2GHz Core 2 Duo T6400 processor, and not the Atom N270 you might expect from the name!

One of the biggest, if not the biggest developments in the netbook industry, has been the Nvidia Ion platform / chipset. So far we have seen the first Ion powered Nettop, the Acer AspireRevo, but no netbooks as of yet.

The Fujitsu LOOX M netbook is the latest offering from Fujitsu. Announced over in Japan, the Fujitsu LOOX M boasts an attractive design, looking great from the outside. But on the inside, things look a lot more average / typical.

When looking for a netbook, you might not even consider which processor it uses, and will probably find it uses an Intel Atom CPU, most likely the N270 or N280.

Intel are clearly leading the way with the Atom CPU, with the vast majority of netbooks using the 1.6GHz Atom N270, and some newer models with the slightly faster 1.66GHz (and faster front side bus) Atom N280.

The Gigabyte T1028 is is a convertible tablepc netbook. Taking elements from a netbook, Tablet PC and a notebook, the Gigabyte T1028 is one of a few devices, allowing you to use it as a standard netbook, or as a table pc by simply swiveling the LCD around.

The Gigabyte Touchnote T1028 is available in a number of different versions. The Gigabyte T1028M / and T1028G models have a 10.1-inch 1024 × 600 resolution, while the T1028X and T1028P versions will have a higher 1366 × 768 resolution.

The Intel Atom CPU is the most common processor found in most netbooks today, is now one year old. To celebrate this, Intel have announced the Intel Atom Z550 CPU, which has a faster clock speed of 2GHz.

We can’t say that we didn’t see this one coming. For a long time now, we have had desktop and laptop accessories. Now it’s time for the netbook accessories to enter the market.
