Intel has began to ship their new Atom CPU the Intel Atom N280 to manufacturers. Although the clock speed of the new N280 is only 0.06Ghz faster than the N270 at 1.66GHz it’s front side bus runs at a faster 667MHz allowing to to connect faster to the system’s components for significant speed performance increases.

BenQ have just launched the BenQ Joybook Lite U101, or simply BenQ U101 for short. It’s fairly similar to the other netbooks currently on the market, but thats nothing unusual. One thing that is different on the BenQ U101 is it’s 10.1-inch LED LCD, with an aspect ratio of 16:9 (rather than 16:10), which gives it a resolution of 1024 x 576 pixels, which is ideal for wide screen movies etc, but also give you a few less pixels hight wise.

Epson, like many other companies out there are getting in on the Netbook game. Epson have just announced the Epson Endeavor Na01 Mini net book in Japan. The average looking machine will feature the typical Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz CPU, a 10.2-inch 1024×600 LCD, 160GB HDD and 1GB of Ram.
