The first few netbooks to feature the latests Intel Atom N455 processor with DDR3 memory support look to be on their way very soon!
A new revision, the Toshiba NB305-10F appeared briefly on the official Toshiba website, before being quickly removed. I guess they jumped the gun there, but it did reveal its new Atom N455 processor, along with 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive.
Also, a new revision of the popular HP Mini 210 has shown up for pre-order in Germany for €349 also featuring the new Atom N455 processor. Along with this it has 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Intel GMA graphics and Windows 7 Starter Edition. It’s currently saying it will ship in 3-4 weeks.
As these two netbooks have shown up we’re sure other N455 and N475 powered netbooks will soon start to filter though.
Right now performance data isn’t available on these new processors, but as they add faster DDR3 RAM support we hope to see a small boost in performance.
