touch bookWe have seen some interesting new netbook designs recently, some that are touchscreen, and some than can be converted into a tablet. But we have never seen a design quiet like the “Touch Book” before.

Made by a company called Always Innovating the Touch Book netbook has a unique design which allows the removable screen to be separated from the keyboard / base of the netbook and be used as a fully functional touchscreen tablet pc.

When the screen is “docked” onto the keyboard/ base and be used as a normal netbook, or the screen can layout flat, or the keyboard can be folded under into an “inverted V” type shape.

If that is not cool enough for you, there are also internal USB plugs to hide away your dongles, and the screen part of the netbook is magnetic, so you can mount it onto the fridge, if you trust it.

Another great feature of the Always Innovating Touch Book is it battery life, lasting a whopping 10-15 hours. The netbook is also completely silent without any fans or disk drives, and instant on. The Always Innovating Touch Book measures 9.4″ x 7″ x 1.4″ and weights just 2 lbs, with keyboard base unit. Other features include a 3-dimensional accelerometer, 6 USB 2.0 ports (2 external, 3 internal, and 1 mini), bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n WiFi. Planed to ship this Spring for $299-399.
