If you have been following the growing “tablet” market, which is of course dominated by the Apple iPad, you will know there are a number of other devices on the market, or coming to the market very soon, which are mostly all sitting in the iPad shadow.
One of these tablet devices is the WeTab, which until very recently was known as the WePad. In a recent press release they stated that the device will remain the same, and the only change is the name.
They state that they have done this to “clearly differentiate our products within the international market for tablet computers.”, but we suspect it is more to do with Apple, and worries about trademark issues with the term “pad”.
The 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 widescreen multitouch Tablet PC is currently up for pre-order on Amazon.de for €449 for the 16GB WiFi version, and the 32GB 3G model demanding €569.
