There has been an explosion of news today regarding netbooks and Windows 7. Many manufacturers are now preparing their netbooks for the very soon to be released Windows 7 operating system (Available October 22nd).

If you didn’t know, until now, most netbooks on the market feature Windows XP, as they don’t run Vista very well. But Microsoft’s latest OS, Windows 7, runs very well on netbooks as it requires less resources, and you also get a shiny new operating system.

Over in Italy a number of Asus netbooks are available for pre-order with Windows 7.

• Asus Eee PC 1005HA-H: Windows 7 Starter Edition, 1GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, 1.66GHz Atom N280, 10.1″ 1024 x 600 pixel screen for €299.
• Asus Eee PC 1008HA: Windows 7 Starter Edition, 1GB RAM, 250Gb hard drive, 1.66GHz Atom N280, 10.1″ 1024 x 600 pixel screen for €399.
• Asus Eee PC 1101HA: Windows 7 Home Premium, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, 1.33GHz Atom Z520, 11.6″ 1366 x 768 pixel screen for €399.

As you can see from above, most have Windows 7 Starter Edition, while the Asus 1101HA features Windows Home Premium. Also, all models have have a 250GB hard drive, rather than the standard 160GB, along with a massive 500GB online storage, rather than the previous 10GB offering.

The Samsung Go will be re-released with Windows 7 Starter Edition, while most of Asus’s recently announced netbooks will also be re-released with Windows 7 by November. We also spotted Windows 7 mentioned (along with a 250GB hard drive) on the N130, N140 and N510 press release, as discussed here.

Toshiba will be re-releasing their NB205 and HP Mini 311 with Windows 7. The Mini 311 with Windows7 should be available from October 18th.

We can learn from all of this information that it’s almost guaranteed that all netbook manufacturers will be re-releasing their newest netbooks with Windows 7 between late October time, and November. And of course, any new netbooks released after October 22nd.

Update: October 19th: It’s just three days away from the Windows 7 release date, and as expected, there are a massive amount of “new” netbooks available to order with Windows 7.
