When they launch a netbook through the main Acer brand, they often rebrand the model for the Packard Bell brand.
The latest example of this seems to be the new Packard Bell Dot SE. This new Dot SE model is very similar to the newly launched Acer Aspire One D255, and as such has the same specifications.
The 10.1-inch netbook has an LED backlit display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. It’s powered by the new dual core Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. It has a 6-cell battery which is rated for 7.5 hours of use, comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition, and weighs 2.8 pounds.
Our friends at NetbookNews.de noticed the new Packard Bell Dot SE for sale for about €400.
We expect to see the Dot SE available at a number of stores in Europe and the UK, but we don’t expect to see it launched in the US.
If you’re in the UK, you can now buy it from Amazon UK for less than £299!
