Samsung N150The Samsung N150 was announced along with a new other models at the start of the year for 2010. It’s the cheapest of the bunch, offering superb bang for buck. It’s other siblings are the semi rugged version of the N150, the NB30, and the N210 / N220 which are similar to the N150 but boast a higher capacity battery life.

I have been very impressed by Samsung’s latest bunch of netbooks and feel they have a great design and stylish look which is more business and professional than cheap and cheerful.

MSI Wind U160 Available

At the start of the year at CES, a whole bunch of new netbooks were announced, and since then many of them have appeared online almost instantaneously.

MSI on the other hand have been a little slower at getting their latest Atom N450 models out.   The MSI Wind U135 has been available pre-order for a little while now, but until now we haven’t seen the Wind U160 show its face.

Samsung Netbooks with LTE 4G

While Acer have announced the Ion 2 packing AO532G at the Mobile World Congress 2010, Samsung also have a world’s first to show off.

While they don’t have any new netbooks to display, they have announced that they will be adding in their own Kalmia LTE modem chipset (4G) to their latest netbooks announced at CES earlier this year.

acer ao532GAcer have just announced the Acer Aspire One 532G netbook with Ion 2, Atom N450 and Optimus switching technology!

The Aspire One 532G has been announced and shown off at the Mobile World Congress 2010 which is is making a very big splash. This is probably the biggest development of this year in the netbook world.

It is a big deal as it is the first netbook to feature the “Next Generation Ion” graphics, we will calling it Ion 2 for now, along with the new Intel Atom N450 (Pine Trail) processor.

HP Compaq Airlife 100 Smartbook

hp compaq airlife 100HP / Compaq have officially announced the Airlife 100 Smartbook. Although this announcement is new, we have known of it’s existence since it’s FCC filing, and shortly after, it’s appearance at CES in January.

The Airlife 100 Smartbook blends together a smartphone and a netbook, by using mostly smartphone hardware, and putting it in a netbook form factor.

Samsung N150The Samsung N150 is one of Samsung’s latest netbooks for 2010 which features the newest generation Intel Atom N450 processor.

When the N150 was first announced it was only available gloss black and blue color options. Shortly after red and white also became an option.

But Samsung has taken things to another level and have added a vibrant tropical set of color options.

Fujitsu MH380Fujitsu might not currently be one of the major players in the netbook market today, but their latest Lifebook MH380 netbook is miles better than their previous offerings.

The Fujitsu Lifebook MH380 is their latest netbook offering, which features the new Intel Atom N450 processor and a 10-inch LCD. While this might sound all to standard at first, the Fujitsu MH380 has some extra offerings up it’s sleeve.

Intel Atom N455 & N475 DDR3 Support

Atom N455While the netbook market has quickly become packed with Intel latest generation Atom processor, the N450, as seen by the vast number of netbooks sporting it in our netbook comparison page. The slightly faster N470 has yet to show it’s face in the mass market.

Intel already has plans to improve the N450 and N470 even more by adding DDR3 memory support.

The Nvidia Ion graphics shook up the netbook industry last year bringing 1080HD playback and gaming to a number of netbooks. Ever since then there has been a lot of talk and speculation about the Ion’s successor, the Nvidia Ion 2.

More recently there has been much talk about switching graphics. This is where the netbook or notebook features two graphics cards, a standard low powered one, and a faster more powerful, but also more power hungry one.

The Alienware M11x is an 11.6-inch thin and light laptop which crosses into the netbook realm, but it is of course a very different machine than a standard netbook, offering gaming on the go.
