Asus U24E 11.6-inch Laptop Announced

Asus U24eOver in Japan, Asus have announced a number of new laptop models to the market. One of which caught our attention, the Asus U24E.

The 11.6-inch laptop / ultrabook was first reported over on the Notebook Review forum, but since then we have heard from Asus via an official press release at Japanese website Asahi.

The Sandy Bridge powered Asus U24 can be considered a mid range laptop or even an ultrabook as it shares a number of ultrabook features.

Asus UX31 Hands on

Asus UX31Asus have announced two very impressive Ultrabooks, the 13.3-inch Asus UX31 (which we will be covering here), and the smaller 11.6-inch Asus UX21.

The Asus UX31 ultrabook has a 13.3-inch display with a very high 1600 x 900 pixel resolution (higher than many 15.4-inch laptops), and is remarkably thin at just 0.67-inches, the same as the smaller 11.6-inch UX21. The weight is also very light at just 1.1 kg (2.4 lbs), which is 250g (0.56lbs) lighter that the current 13-inch MacBook Air. So the UX31 really is lighter than Air.
