Ever since the announcement of the Asus Transformer Prime (aka. Asus EEE Pad Transformer 2), everyone has been on the look out for more information on the highly anticipated tablet.

Some relief comes today in the form of a leaked benchmark. The graph shows the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime sitting proudly at the top of the chart, scoring a very impressive 12872.

The ultra thin (3mm-9mm) Asus UX21E 11.6-inch laptop / ultrabook was first announced back in June where it certainly gained its fair share of attention.

When it was first announced as part of Asus’ very impressive Zenbook range it was instantly compared to the MacBook Air, but with a promised price point of 80-90%.

Over in Japan, Asus have announced a number of new laptop models to the market. One of which caught our attention, the Asus U24E.

The 11.6-inch laptop / ultrabook was first reported over on the Notebook Review forum, but since then we have heard from Asus via an official press release at Japanese website Asahi.

The Sandy Bridge powered Asus U24 can be considered a mid range laptop or even an ultrabook as it shares a number of ultrabook features.

Amazon have shaken up the tablet world with their announcement of the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet PC, just as they did with their very first ebook reader.

The kindle is extremely well known and easily the market leading ebook reader. Now Amazon have taken the Kindle brand to a whole new level. The new Amazon Kindle Fire more than just a color Kindle. It is a powerful dual core tablet PC which can easily compete with the other tablets on the market, including the iPad 2, and less than half the price of the iPad 2, at just $199.

Samsung have just put out official word that their new Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus tablet will be available from November 13th.

Officially the pre-order started yesterday (October 23rd), Amazon jumped the gun and opened their pre-order pages a few days ago, only to pull them a few hours later. Now that the 23rd has passed you can now find these pre-order links live on Amazon.

The upcoming Intel Cedar Trail platform / the Intel Atom D2700 processor has been benchmarked by Mike over at NetbookLive.

Mike got his hands on the new 12-inch Asus Lamborghini VX6S netbook featuring the next-generation Intel Atom D2700 CPU and the powerful AMD Radeon 6470M GPU (graphics), and put it against the older Pine Trail/ION2 powered Lamborghini VX6.

Asus have just shaken up the tablet world once again announcing their new Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime at AsiaD.

The new tablet which has until now been know as the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2, has the same form factor and transforming feature as the original, but the new Prime is “faster, stronger, slimmer, and of course, sexier.”

Asus have today announced the UK launch of their highly anticipated new sliding tablet, the Asus Eee Pad Slider.

The Google Android powered tablet PC with a built in, slide out QWERTY keyboard will be available from PC World, and Currys in store and online from October 24th.

Asus first shook up the tablet world with their Eee Pad Transformer tablet, which with its docking keyboard unit transformed into a netbook. Now their latest revolutionary tablet, the Asus Eee Pad Slider is finally available in the U.S!

The Asus Slider is a hybrid tablet with a keyboard which slides out from under the tablet, converting it in to a kind of netbook / laptop form factor. This makes the Asus Eee Pad Slider a very productive tablet.

Asus have announced two very impressive Ultrabooks, the 13.3-inch Asus UX31 (which we will be covering here), and the smaller 11.6-inch Asus UX21.

The Asus UX31 ultrabook has a 13.3-inch display with a very high 1600 x 900 pixel resolution (higher than many 15.4-inch laptops), and is remarkably thin at just 0.67-inches, the same as the smaller 11.6-inch UX21. The weight is also very light at just 1.1 kg (2.4 lbs), which is 250g (0.56lbs) lighter that the current 13-inch MacBook Air. So the UX31 really is lighter than Air.
