Now, Toshiba have announced two new color options to the Toshiba NB200, bringing five color options in total. It’s now available in Blue, and Pink options.

Gateway recently announced their first netbook, the LT3100, which was AMD powered. Today, they have announced the Gateway LT2000 netbook, which is makes use of the more common Intel Atom processor.
The Gateway LT2000 has the same external design as the LT3100, but features the popular Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz CPU, along with a 10.1-inch LED backlit LCD with a 1024 x 600 resolution.

There are very very few netbooks on the market which feature an optical drive of some sort, whether it be a CD or DVD burner, in fact, it’s one of the common features which separate netbooks from laptops.
Not having a DVD drive in netbooks, saves room, weight and cost in the production of netbooks, and most users will not have a problem with this.

An Apple Netbook has been rumored for some time now, with Apple claiming to refuse to give the netbook market any attention.
Recently China Times is reporting that a 9.7-inch touchscreen netbook will debut in October this year. They are claiming that Dynapack, and Wintek have received orders from Apple, with Foxconn being the main manufacture.

Although it is currently being called the LG X13, if the previous LG model names are anything to go by (X120, X110), we assume that on it’s release it will be called the LG X130.

If you want to be able to watch HD videos on your netbook, including 1080p HD video, you currently really only have two choices. You netbook must either feature the Nvidia Ion platform, or the Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator.
