It’s no surprise that the Galaxy Tab 2 is currently selling like hot cakes, and it’s great to see than in such a short time users have been flooding in with great reviews.
The Galaxy 2 is shipping out from Amazon for just $249.
I have always been a fan of Samsung’s netbooks, and still use the N230 as my netbook of choice. Samsung has pulled out of the netbook market, and are concentrating of the growing tablet market.
The 7-Inch tablet has a 1024 x 600 pixel touchscreen display, and is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor, with 8GB of storage, features 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and has both a front and rear camera.
It runs the very latest version of Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
There are cheaper 7-Inch alternatives to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, such as the Nook of the Kindle Fire, which you can hack to upgrade to Android 4.0, but this will void your warranty, and as it’s a hack, not all of the features tend to work as expected. Plus neither feature a webcam.
If the 8GB seems a little too limited to you, don’t fear, as the Galaxy Tab 2 features a microSD slot, easily allowing you to upgrade the storage space to 32GB.
