It has been a little while since we saw the Samsung N230 10.1-inch netbook on display, where we saw a number of hands on shots at the trade show.
A few days ago the Samsung N230 was officially announced along with a number of “Plus” models for its existing netbooks. Today Samsung have sent out a press release along with a number of great press photos showing off the N230.
Update: Be sure to checkout my full Samsung N230 review!
While the N230 uses mostly the same hardware as the previous N210 / N210 models, it has a whole new design with brushed metal palm rest, boarderless chiclet keyboard, and new trackpad. I love the design, and feel that it gives it a great stylish / professional look.
What makes the Samsung N230 really standout from rest is its battery life. It come with either a 3-cell battery for 7 hours of battery life, or a 66Wh 6-cell battery which can power the N230 for 13.8 hours!
It comes with either the Atom N450 (1.66Ghz) or N470 (1.83Ghz) processor.

I am looking to buy a netbook. So far, I like the Samsung N210 and Toshiba Mini NB-255. Also considering Acer AO532h. But now that I’ve seen the N230, I think this might be a winner for me as long as the RAM is expandable and if the price is right for one that has Atom N470 processor. Will probably hold off buying one until you make a review on it

All the netbooks you listed are very good. I reviewed the N210 and was very impressed with it.
I expect the N230 to perform similarly, with slightly better battery life, batter performance (version with N470), and great build quality!
The RAM will be expandable
. I hope to get my hands on one for a review!

I hope it can hold a 2.5″ sata2 SSD due to it looking so thin (isn’t a easy access door underneath so ill have to take it all apart of course), if so ill switch the 250gb one out into a 2.5″ external enclosure + live it large with the new ocz vertex2 60gb.
My main requirements for a netbook at the moment are, supports a 2.5″ ssd and has a massive battery, also a replacement. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for either this when it comes out or the n220?

Hey Kris, the N230 does indeed use and support a standard height 2.5″ SATA drive.
I have yet to see a replacement battery available. But with 12 hr + battery life you should be good to go!

No, the N230 doesn’t hold an standard height 2.5″ SATA drive. Tried it.
