Like many others I have had my eye on the Nvidia Ion powered Samsung N510 netbook with HDMI output since photos of it were first leaked to the Internet.
The 11.6-inch Samsung N510 has shown up for pre-order from the French store Pixmania for €499.
Earlier today the product page at pixmania listed with a ship date of August 21st, but more recently it has been updated to say September 4th.
While 499 Euros, which converts to $715 will seem a little steep for a netbook, when and if it is released in the U.S I’m sure it will have a lower price. The Samsung N510 is currently the only netbook on the market to feature Ion graphics and a HDMI output, which is why it can command a higher price.
The 12-inch Lenovo IdeaPad S12 with Ion graphics has also yet to reach the stores, with no know release date.
The Samsung N510 features the Intel Atom N280 1.66Ghz CPU with Nvidia 9400M graphics, 6-cell battery, a 160GB SATA II hard drive and a 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 LCD display.
I’m still waiting for the N510 to show up at some UK stores, and when it does, I am getting my order in!
