Samsung N510The Ion powered Samsung N510 netbook has had a very complex release schedule.

After it’s initial leak, the Samsung N510 was officially announced and recognized by Samsung, and later released in some parts of Europe, such as Italy and Germany, but delayed in other areas including the U.S and the U.K.

In the U.S Samsung have reported that the N510 will be released after Windows 7 is available (October 22nd), with the Windows 7 operating system.

In the U.K, Samsung have added the official page for the N510 on their website, this has been up for about a week now. It has also shown up on a number of UK stores for pre-order such as Amazon UK and Dabs.com.

Dabs are currently listing the Samsung N510 for £406.93 including VAT, and has a release date of October 5th.

The UK version of the Samsung N510 is somewhat more powerful than the version already available in Europe. It features the Intel Atom N280 CPU (N270 Europe), Ion LE graphics, 160GB hard drive and a larger 6-cell 5900mAH battery, rather than the 5200mAH in Europe, with Windows XP.

I must say that I am some what disappointed that the UK version of the Samsung N510 does not feature Windows 7. They have delayed the N510 for a long time in the UK already, why not delay it 2-3 more weeks and release it with Windows 7? like they are in the U.S.

I have long planed on purchasing the Samsung N510, but would love to have it with Windows 7, especially as it is right around the corner now.

I did see something interesting on the UK press release though, which hints at a N510 with Windows 7 and a larger 250GB hard drive.

Maybe I’m reading a little too much into it, but I hope Samsung release the N510 with Windows 7 shortly after it’s release on the 22nd.
