There has been a lot of buss around the upcoming Samsung N510 netbook which was leaked a number of weeks ago. The Samsung N510 was rumored to be the first Nvidia Ion powered netbook from Samsung, featuring a 11.6-inch high resolution display with HDMI output.
It has now been revealed that the N510 isn’t the only Ion powered netbook from Samsung. The Samsung NP-N508, and Samsung NP-N511 have been listed along side the Samsung NP-N510.
Currently there are no known details about these previously unheard of models, but it’s fairly safe to assume that they will be similar / variations of the already available to pre-order N510.
The Samsung N511 and N508 will probably feature a slightly different Atom processor, different screen size, or maybe even a different Ion version.
One Italian site currently listing the Samsung N510 for pre-order is showing the N510 as featuring the newly announced Ion LE chipset, (rather than the straight Ion) which lacks the DirectX 10 support of the Ion chipset, and settle for DirectX 9 support only.
Hopeful it should be too long until we find out more details about the Samsung N508 and N511 Ion netbooks. I have had my eyes on the N510 for quite some time now, so I am very curious as to see what the other two netbooks offer.
