We have just found out that the 12.1-inch Samsung NC20 netbook, which has been available in the UK for sometime now has finally made it’s way over the the U.S and is currently available for order.
The Samsung NC20 builds on the success of the very popular Samsung NC10. With a larger than most, 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, and a 1.3GHz VIA Nano U225 CPU, instead of the usual Intel Atom. The NC20 also features Chrome9 integrated graphics, which can apparently playback 720p HD video at 30-50% CPU load, and even 1080p video, with the CPU peaking at just 80% usage.
We have seen the Samsung NC20 available at NewEgg for $549.99 (pre-tax) under the Samsung NC20-21GBK model number. This model also features a 160GB HDD, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 6-cell battery (5900mAh) which should last for over 6 hours.
