It has been a little while since there has been some much attention focused on a new netbook. Information on the Sony P-Series netbook has been leaked and is has created a lot of attention. The Sony P Series, or the Sony VAIO P series as it may also come to be known as has some pretty impressive specifications.
The most interesting specification that will stand out to most people is it’s 8-inch wide LCD with LED backlighting, which as a 1600 x 768 pixel resolution. For a display of only 8-inches, this resolution is very high, and widescreen, which should make it very nice to work with, and for media playback.
The Sony P-Series will feature a 1.33GHz Intel CPU, were are assuming it will be a dual core Atom CPU, to provide a little more power when running the included Windows Vista operating system (Home Basic / Home Premium). The HDD will either be a 60GB or 128GB SSD versions.

Other specifications of the Sony P-Series are currently unannounced / unknown, but will update this post when they are known. We do know that the 8-inch sony netbook will be available in three colors; Crimson Red, Champagne Gold, and Black Silk.
Be sure to read the Sony Vaio P review.
