Exciting news for owners of the Sony Tablet S users in the US. Sony have just pushed their release of the latest version of the Google Android 4.0 operating system, which is better know as Ice Cream Sunday to users in the U.S.
Sony made an official post about the update over at their blog, along with a video highlighting some of the more exciting new features, which is embedded below.
Some of the more notable new features of the new firmware upgrade include single motion panorama photo mode, and direct access to the SD card. There is also a new browser, enhanced screen lock, gallery browser, “small apps”, home screen actions, and screenshot capture.

If you’re in the U.S you’re in luck, and to get the new Android 4.0 ICS, all you have to do is connect to WiFi, and you should receive a notification informing you of a pending update. Simply click okay and let the Sony Tablet S go through the stages. With in a few minutes you should be up and running the latest version.
Update: If you’re in Europe, you’re also in luck. Sony say that if the update goes well in the U.S, they will release the update “with in 15 days”.
