Logitech have just released a new keyboard accessory for the iPad 2. The “Logitech Fold-Up Keyboard for iPad” is exactly what you would expect, it’s a keyboard which is split into two halves and unfolds to connect together to form a full QWERTY keyboard.
Unlike most other folio-style keyboards for the iPad, the Logitech Fold-Up Keyboard is fully sized for comfortable and accurate typing.
When the keyboard is in use it holds the iPad at an ideal angle for typing and using the pad. When the keyboard is not in use and you want to move the iPad, the keyboard rests securely underneath the iPad 2.
The fold-up keyboard turns on and off automatically when it is folded out to save battery power, and charges over the USB port, so you don’t have to worry about replacing batteries.
The Logitech fold-up keyboard has been designed so that you can still use the Smart Cover while the iPad is docked to the keyboard.
If you don’t like using the onscreen keyboard, and want something that is highly portable and of a high quality the Logitech Fold-Up Keyboard for iPad is probably a great way to go. Or you don’t yet own a tablet PC and a keyboard is of high importance to you, it might be worth you looking into the Asus Eee PC Transformer.
The keyboard is currently available for pre-order direct from Logitech for $129.99.
