The Toshiba NB200, is also known as the Toshiba Dynabook UX in Japan, where it is currently available, has seen it’s first review. The Dynabook UX / NB200 is the new version of the very popular NB100, offering a 10.1-inch LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution, a brand new design paired with the new, faster Intel Atom N280 processor.
The new Toshiba NB200 netbook will be available in two models, as the Toshiba NB200-11H in Cosmic Black, with the N280 CPU, and as the Toshiba NB200-11L in Satin Brown, with the N270 CPU.
Both measure 263 x 192.3 x 25.4 – 30.8mm, and weigh 1.18kg, and feature a 160GB HDD, 1GB of DDR2 (upgradeable to 2GB), 802.11b/g WiFi, a 3-in-1 multicard reader, VGA out and 2x USB. PortableMonkey reviewed the Toshiba NB200, saying it was a notch above most netbooks, with impressive 3.5 hour battery life from the standard 3-cell battery. They also found the screen and touchpad to be very good, with the netbook running almost silently.
