Toshiba have just announced their new Satellite T100 series of thin and light CULV notebooks, which are available in two sizes, as the 11.6-inch Toshiba T115, and the slightly larger 13.3-inch Toshiba T135.

These “thin and light” notebooks sit right in the middle ground between netbooks and standard notebooks, and with the Toshiba Satellite T115 measuring just 11.6-inches it is very much in the netbook ground.

The Toshiba T115 features the Intel SU4100 (1.3GHz) or Celeron 473 processor, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and HDMI and eSATA ports. It weighs just 1.56kg and measures 22.2mm at it’s thinnest part. The battery is quoted to last 11 hours.

Toshiba Satellite T115, T135

The larger 13.3-inch Toshiba T135 features either the Intel SU2700 single-core or SU4100 (1.3GHz) dual-core processor, up 4GB of RAM, and upto 500GB hard drive. It also features eSATA and HDMI ports.

Both of the Toshiba Satellite T100 series models have a LCD HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels are are LED backlit, a mutlitouch touchpad, and will be available in a number of colors including black, red and white.

Both will be available on 22nd October, and will feature Windows 7. Update: The T115 is available to order from Amazon from $461.

They will be available in the UK as the Toshiba T110, and T130.
